Joy Postell - Diaspora Album

Diaspora is the debut record of Baltimore soul singer Joy Postell. The album which centers around the history of Black America and Black Consciousness explores these concepts through an influential jazz lens. Diaspora visually embodies itself as a black hair product, paying homage to black hair product advertising of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

For Joy’s album release a creative team was assembled to craft the album’s visual aesthetic and unify her vision. Full team credits below.
